| Oh, hope you didn't get too excited and think that I was posting something with a travel theme! I'm just giving you the low down on the Diorama Discussion for 2009. First, I just wanted to pop in and say hello and wish everyone a happy 2009! Raise your glass to a great new year! I am going to continue to host the Diorama Discussions this year, bringing a mix of my own creations, along with several guest hosts, a contest or two and hopefully a new feature that's "on the drawing board." However, with the holiday hustle, there's been little dolly time, so Diorama Discussion is on hiatus until some time in February. At that time, I'll be hosting once a month on Tuesdays. In preparation for 2009, I am interested in recruiting some board members who have displays and dioramas at home or those who like to create dioramas and props for their dolls to help me with an idea I have for this year. You can have full blown structures, small vignettes, knock down sets or it may just be that you incorporate props into your doll displays. Whatever it is, I'm interested. If you e-mail me, I will let you know what I'm planning and you can let me know if you are interested in participating. And, I always welcome guest hosts (to give me a little breather now and then). So, if you have a special project or fun set up you've been working on or want to whip up to share with fellow collectors. It can be a custom display or something as easy as a foam core room or some repainted playline furniture... it's all good. But, for our Diorama Discussions, we'll want ALL the details of it's creation, (no matter how simple or complicated) and lots a great photos! I hope to hear from some of you talented board members to help show off some great stuff in 2009. When I do, I will be able to get a schedule together for this year and share it with everyone. Also, if you have any ideas on what you'd like to see, themes, contests or any other suggestions, ALWAYS feel free to write. Take care and Happy New Year! DeeinNJ |
