Drinks for Dolls - by Silvana

Dolls like to visit bars for drinks or throw parties for their friends, so I think they need a variety of drinks. Today, I’ll tell you what you need to make your own little beverages for your thirsty dolls, including recipes for specific beverages and cocktails you might want to serve your girls.

Supplies you will need:

General instructions:

  1. Melt the Scenic Water in a water bath.
  2. Pour the Scenic Water into the glassware before coloring it. The color results are better working in small quantities than in large ones.
  3. I color the SW directly in the glass. Add a drop of the color (watercolor or silk paint), stir up well until the color is evenly spread and repeat till you have the color you want.
  4. Cut the coated/flexible wire to use as drinking straws. Add drinking straws and similar things right after you add the SW to the glass.
  5. For sparkling beverages add 3 glass pearls right after you fill the glass, then let the SW harden for about 2 min. then add 5 more pearls. If necessary, use a toothpick to place the pearls where you want them.
  6. Add Ice cubes made from the crushed glass right after you filled in the SW.

Hints:

Recipes:
Mineral water
Clear SW and added pearls as described in the general instructions.

Ice-Tea *)
As many drops of light brown watercolor till the color seams right. Maybe silk paint would give great results too. Add ice cubes.

Cola *)
This Cola is made with 1 drop diluted dark brown Acryl color and two drops diluted dark brown water color. I’m not really happy with it. I think silk paint would yield a better result. Add ice cubes.

Orange Juice
Color the SW with one drop of orange water color. Caution: if you use too much orange it will look like carrot juice.

Milk
Use white water color to color the SW.

*) I’m not really happy with how these drinks turned out. Next time I would try silk paint for these.

Latte Macchiato

Fill the glass ¾ with SW, color it with light and dark brown water color and let it harden. For the milk froth prepare white colored SW in a separate glass add it to the Latte Macchiato and work the same way as for a beer head.

Coffee
Use brown and black watercolor till you get what you want. For milk coffee add white.

Baileys
Color SW with 1 drop light brown and two drops dark brown water color.

White Wine
Two drops of yellow, preferably silk paint. The example shown is made with water color.

Red Wine
The example is made with dark red water color. Next time I would use silk paint in dark red and navy.

Sparkling Wine
Use one drop of yellow, preferably silk paint to color the SW. The showed example is made with watercolor. Then add pearls as described in the general instructions.

If you want a white crest, as I have it on the glass that is poured, use the same method as for the beer.

Beer
Add a little bit of yellow and a touch of light brown to the SW. Fill the glasses ¾ and let them harden. Then add a head as described under hints.

Pink Elephant

Color the SW with 2 drops orange water color. Be careful with orange, a little bit too much make your drink look like carrot juice. Fill the glass 3/4, add ice cubes and a drinking straw. Let the SW harden a bit but not completely.
Deco: Arrange an orange slice, a slice of Kiwi and a cherry on top.

Caribean-Fruitpunch

Add a touch of royal blue and a drop of turquoise silk paint to the SW and put the ice cubes and the deco in.
Deco: You have to made an orange slice which you cut to the middle, then twist it and spike it on a piece of wire, adding two cherries. This all has to be done before you bake it.

Blue Ocean

Color 3 drops of SW with red water color and let it harden. Put the orange slice in the glass. In a separate glass, color SW with royal blue and turquoise silk paint and pour this into the prepared glass and add a drinking straw. When the drink begins to harden add the cherry and push it “under water” using a tooth pick.
Deco: You need an orange slice which is shaped, so that you can put it into your glass and one cherry.

Tequila Sunrise

Color 3 drops of SW with red water color and let it harden. In a separate glass, color SW with orange water color and fill this into the prepared glass and add the deco.
Deco: Cut an orange slice to the middle.

Caipirinha

Put some finely granulated brownish Silica-Gel as cane sugar in the glass. Add 4 quartered limes (polymer clay), put 2 drinking straws and a stirrer* in the glass, add a lot of crushed ice and fill up with uncolored SW.
*I made the stirrer from light brown cardboard, it looked like wood. But after some hours, the cardboard sucked in humidity of the SW and it doesn’t look very dark. So next time I would make the stirrer from Balsa wood.

Mai Tai

Fill the glass ½ with SW and color it with a little bit of orange and light brown, add ice cubes and the deco.
Deco: Spike a cherry, a piece of pineapple and one more cherry on a piece of wire.

Margarita
Color the SW with red silk paint and let it harden. Give some finely granulated white Silica-Gel on a sheet of paper, coat the rim carefully with superglue and put the glass up-side-down on the granulate.

Strawberry Daiquiri

Before I found a source for Scenic Water I worked with candle gel. Here I colored it red and let it harden. Give some finely granulated white Silica-Gel on a sheet of paper, coat the rim carefully with superglue and put the glass up-side-down on the granulate. Free up a little place from the granulate and glue the strawberry there when the “sugar” has dried.
Deco: Make a strawberry which you cut in, for that you can put it onto the bezel.

Well, that’s all! I hope this Discussion inspires you to make some delicious drinks for your dolls!
