Today is the day to share your diorama related "stuff." Even if you've posted before, many of us aren't on the boards every day and we may have missed something! Be sure to post here so the diorama junkies know where to look. This is one of my favorite settings: Vanessa in her penthouse apartment! The window I printed off my computer and made the white lines. The flooring is contact paper. The platform is an insert from one of the Loft Collection furniture pieces and I made the folding screen and curtain (which is just stuck on a small tension rod). The furnitue is from the FR Loft Collection. It's not anything involved, but it works well. Wish I had a place like that! OK - SHARE YOUR STUFF! Til Next time, |
Highlights from April 10th
Veronica of Eightoclockdesigns: This is my favorite creation. A silkstone bed. I wanted a bed to match the silkstone vanity. I designed the shape of the head and footboad out of graph paper, then cut it from 1/4" craft wood. It was screwed together with 1/2" wood strips for bed rails. I filled the screw holes with wood putty, sanded and painted the whole thing cream. The trim is thin balsa wood glued on and then was painted. Linens by Integrity. I'm also loving the new Honey in Hollywood. Daria is a recent repaint of mine. I was experimenting with dramatic liner, but I don't think I like her lip color yet.

Lisa B in Tx: Latest diorama... mod family house... I have the Barbie mod family house - but it's pretty beat up. I took digital pics of the walls, and then made the backdrops.

Alexandra in France: More diorama photos for you! Hope you like them! Here are some older dioramas that I am posting anyway. First one is Vanessa's dressing room and the second is Natalia's bedroom. Then you have Vero's office which is not finished yet.
Alexandra in France: Hello Divas and Divos! I wasn't going to post this piccies today but since it is Diorama discussion day, here you go! I made the bathroom after reading Audrey's tutorials and the night club is not finished and it is just a little peek. After it is finished I will post better piccies. The other Diorama is Natalias room and you will see Kyori and Collette modelling Barcelona Barbies outfits. Hope you like them!
GloriaK: Here are a few items... First of all the great glass coffee table that I found at Goodwill. It is actually a votive holder:
The red cabinet on the left was also a Goodwill find, the 1/2 table was from the Dollartree, and the wallhanging an ornament from Hobby Lobby:
Mirror from Hobby Lobby, lion from thrift shop, and Asian statue from Dollartree.
Great mirror photo frame/ room divider. It is a little short but the pictures in it our keepers.
