Hello, everyone, |
MaryPhoto: My tip: For a nice "toasty" room try a food warmer, turned upside down, with a photo of a fire. Instant fireplace! |
Valmaxi: My "City Sidewalk" scene. I love to set this up every year using the back side of the vintage Barbie Fashion Shop. |
Stephiejo: I wanted to create a multi-purpose entryway to simulate a "real" dollhouse so I made a faux porch area. The walls & floor are foam core. Nothing is held together permanantly-I use sewing pins to keep the pieces together-then I can lay flat for storage. The siding is strips of vinyl shelf liner-glued one piece at a time to give the appearance of vinyl siding. The porch floor is covered with grey scrapbook paper. The house light is a refrigerator magnet-originally brass-spray painted black. The door is an actual plastic Barbie door that came in a box of furniture I found at a garage sale. It was originally purple. I primed it & painted it a bright cherry red. The house numbers are a printie from google. The trim around the door is white cardstock cut into strips. The little sled in the corner is a Hallmark ornament that I embellished with greenery, mini pinecones & berries. Everything is wired on so it can be removed if I want to use the sled for Kelly. The potted plant started with an urn from Michael's Craft store, I added faux boxwood greenery, white sparkly branches, mini pinecones & berries. The stone walkway is a printable from Diorama Divas~the faux snow came in a bag from Hobby Lobby. The interior is a page from a magazine to simulate an actual interior. |
Nancy from Tulsa: These are some of the pictures that I used last year to make my Christmas video. I hope you enjoy theme.

Debi: Hi all. I just got my tree up this weekend. And I got some of my dolls out for display. I am keeping it kinda simple this year. But I still enjoy them. I set these up in our livig room on top of the entertainment center. Here is the set up I did last year...The girls out shopping... |
Kerstin: Holiday dioramas from the archive...
I used this as a christmas card a couple of years ago. |
|
tinyseams: Stylish Escape and Criminally Chic arrive at a funky Christmas getaway spot for the weekend. I just did a little redecorating.
|
Deck the Val in Cal with Holly: Okay ... so it's actually a doll and a couple of props, tee hee! Agnes is THRILLED to see all of the small packages and her fingers crossed they are ALL filled with JEWELRY!!! |
HoLLy JoLLy PengGwen: Holiday Diorama...not your typical, but this was my entry for our Doll Club Christmas party diorama contest. The theme was snowflakes. It won!! The prize was Knitting Pretty Barbie & Skipper Giftset so I was VERY happy!! I made the sock sweater. The background was easy. Just some foam board, glitter glue and fake snow. The trees are those paintable ceramic ones from Michaels...and the pups, well I had to make them some sweaters too! The snow is fake fur scattered with metallic snowflakes.

Nise~Bell: Diorama Holiday |
tinyseams: I am about to set up a new Christmas diorama so new pics to come soon. The Santa Baby suit made by MarC is such an inspiration for me to play. I am trying to think who will be the lucky girl to wear the Santa Baby outfit this year-- maybe Stylish Escape will be perfect! Thanks again for the very cute outfit MarC! Santa LOVES it too! LOL!

melabelo: A Silkstone Christmas... Silkie #5 entertains Bond, James Bond at the Silkstone loft (actually the top of a bookcase, as you can see in the bottom corner.) Here's some of the lovely artwork. I have lots of postcards I've collected over the years, so I use them as art for my dolls, although the smaller piece is courtesy of Google Images. The frame is a thrift store find, and so is the silver vase. The calla lilies are from Michael's; the red topiaries came from the dollar store over this summer, and I thought they would work in a Christmas display! Here's a better look at the topiaries and whoops! James is missing his socks! (Guess he was in hurry for his big date!) The table is a brown box from an organizer from Target's dollar spot, the brocade "cloth" is actually from the Fashion Fever bathroom set. The champagne, cooler and glasses are from a Gloria set, and the tin of caviar is from the now defunct Ops Toys. The prezzies are from those package decorations you can find this time of year. The base of the "table" is a candleholder which was another thrift store find that I covered with a mirror from A.C. Moore (about a buck or so.) Moving James aside for the moment, you can see my pride and joy - the staircase from the Barbie Singing Sisters set! I've been trying to get it in a diorama for ages! And since it comes with a wreath on its side, it's perfect for Christmas dioramas. I wrapped mini lights from one of those christmas scene displays you find this time of year (mine came from Michael's). You can also see the horsey and snowman that were formerly ornaments. The green vase was a thrift store find, and the green "carpet" is scrapbook paper that feels like suede(also from Michael's). The tree is from Michael's and is surrounded with more "prezzies" (looks like Silkie and James have a good haul this year!) |
