Well, today is another one of those days where I ask you to share your crafty ideas, great photos, cool props and fab finds.
From all of the simply amazing photos I saw last week of the spectacular rooms your dolls live in, I know you have enough great stuff to post here. Remember, we don't mind seeing it again and again and some of us missed those posts, so it's great to have them all in one place for the diorama junkies here at Doll Divas. And don't forget, we're collecting up a few highlights from each Diorama Discussion to include in the archives at the top of the board, so post and you may see your great pics included.
Inspired by last time's great topic about topiaries, I found two gorgeous topiary urns at the Christmas Tree Shop for $1.29 each. I also snagged some topiaries at the same store a few months ago for $1.69 each. So, for about $3 each, I made me some awesome and elegant doll topiaries. Sorry to tease you... no pics of them yet, but I'm working on it.
For now, here's a pic of High Tea with an urn similar to the one I found for my topiaries. I just filled it with some "holly" garland I bought at Xmas time so it looks like ivy.
Of course, it can't even hold a candle to the amazing topiaries and Jennifer O showed us how to make in that great Discussion, but I made that before I was enlightened by Jennifer's topiary tricks!
Til next time, Now get posting! WE WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE WHIPPED UP FOR YOUR DOLLS!
Kelsie - MutantGoldfishDesigns: This is my newest fave find/makeover. This dresser was a $3.75 jewelry box "thing" from dollar general clearance rack. Sorry no before picture. When I got it, it was bright yellow and green and had pink wooden flowers for handles on the doors. I am sure you have all seen them. I sanded it and painted it antique white, replaced the flowers with decorative upholstery nails, made a hook inside the door using an upholstery tac. Added some "bits" to it and love how it turned out...You have all seen these pics I am sure, but this time you are going to be looking at the dresser. The wallpaper is Bridal Gift Wrap from Walmart. Kelsie - MutantGoldfishDesigns: This is from the archives...the first furniture makeover I ever did...even though it was the first it is still one of my favorate pieces and has been featured in many of my backgrounds.
Before: The last couple of touches, I painted the detail with gold paint and added gold trim to the front. Plants & Flowers: http://mypage.bluewin.ch/vana/basteln/bastelne.html
Sushipurple: This is old, and seems really lame now, but here's a diorama I did once - Set up in my bedroom cabinet and called it my FR London Loft:

A Few Highlights from March 13, 2007:

The two mini jewelry boxes on top of the dresser are also from a Dollar General clearance rack.
It started life as a humble white couch from the Barbie Victorian Dollhouse.
I painted it with black matt spray paint and added a brocade slip cover to it.

Silvana: Plants and flowers - Val's fab flower arrangements inspired me to show the plants and flowers I made. Pics and instructions you can find on my handycraft site, both chapters are marked by a "new" sign.
