Hi, Guys |
Some Highlights from this Discussion:
Diorma - The Great Outdoors
I've just moved to a condo with a tiny back yard, so I'm hoping to have more actual outdoor shots in the future. I cut out a hole in my foam board, used long wood slat pieces you get at Michaels for the window panes, then painted them black. I used the railing from the My Scene Mascarade pad to encase the patio dining, and a cute metal dining set I got cheap on eBay. |

My best outdoor picture with 1 prop

I took these on my vacation in Hawaii. Since these are just little dolls on a big beach, the key to photographing them is to shoot closeups with background details in the distance. And avoid getting real people in the shots. I had quite a few onlookers wondering what I was doing. The surfboard which I found at a local gift shop was the right scale for the dolls. |
Picnic time!
Posted by Lisa N Va.
I adore this picnic table, I'm still collecting some items for a bbq scene I'd love to do. I sell these on my website & ebay store by the way- ) Buck and cowboy kickin Barbie are enjoying a game of monopoly- that's a magnet from the dollar tree and some strawberry shortcake and lemonade, courtesy of rement. lol. |

Some random "outdoor" photos

Backdrop is a calendar the I purchased while in Italy, last January. Perfect for Princess of Italy/Renaissance Backdrop is "room with a view" with sky colored fabric drapped over it. A second room with a view was used to create the building which I hung barn like scrapbook paper on with magnets. Picket fence obtained at JoAnns (and painted white by Hubby). Little saddle, wagon and stable implements I got at some gift shop (don't remember exactly which one). Grass is model railroad grass. Leaves & vegatables came from JoAnns. Tree is from Michaels. I rested it against the room with a view and then secured with with magnets (on the back side). The tree was quite an engineering project. |
